California Polytechnic State University Mr. Simonian is a Professor in the College of Architecture and Environmental Design and is also a graduate course instructor in the College of Engineering at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly). He is a licensed Professional Electrical Engineer in the State of California, and a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional. Professor Simonian’s previous experience includes positions as an Electrical Engineer at San Diego Gas and Electric, an Electrical Engineering Supervisor at Bechtel, and Senior Project Manager for Berkeley Laboratory. His teaching responsibilities at Cal Poly have included instructing classes in Building Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Systems, Construction Contracts, Construction Project Administration, Principles of Construction Management, Project Controls, Management of the Construction Firm, Professional Practice for Construction Project Managers, and co-instructor of an Interdisciplinary Design-Build Studio.
